The LiveUpdater which retrieves the new virus information runs in the background now, which compared to older versions where the window got in the way of any windows on your desktop, is a great improvement. I don’t notice any slow down while I run full hard drive scans, which I know can be a problem with PC antivirus programs. The widget it adds to my dashboard is pretty cool as well. It displays the current critical threats to online security, which while the information is shows is often only relevant to PC users, its still a neat little tool. At the end of the day, you really should get this as its gives you peace of mind you get from knowing your Mac is well-protected.”

“I find Symantec’s Norton Personal Firewall 3.0 much better than the firewall that is supplied with Mac OS X. It is really simple to set up and take control of what on my Mac connects to the internet. Apparently it makes my Mac go invisible to hackers so its great to know I’m that secure.”
